On the beautiful island of Ikuchijima — Setoda, along the Shimanami Kaido.
Near the Shiomachi Shopping Street lies Onzo, an inn where travelers meet locals.
Our name comes from the Analects of Confucius: "onkochishin" (温故知新, learning anew by studying the old) reimagined as "onkososhin" (温故創新, creating anew by studying the old) — shortened to "Onzo."
Here, you can go beyond sightseeing to truly connect with local people
and experience the culture, history, and nature unique to Setoda — weaving your own story.

Take a ferry from Mihara Port or Onomichi Port to Setoda Port on Ikuchijima.
Sanyo Kisen (Mihara–Setoda) or Ishizaki Kisen (Onomichi–Setoda).
Onzo is a 4-minute walk from Setoda Port.
🚴 Bicycle (Shimanami Kaido)
Cyclists on the Shimanami Kaido are very welcome.
Bicycle parking is available.

Approx. 60 min from Onomichi IC (Nishiseto Expressway) via Ikuchijima IC.

Check-out is at noon (12:00). Enjoy your morning before you leave.
Is there a curfew?
No curfew. You have 24-hour access.
Are there stairs?
All rooms are on the 2nd floor via a steep staircase. Please be careful with large luggage.
Are meals provided?
Breakfast is not provided. Many restaurants are within a 1-minute walk.
